Should you store Coffee Beans and ground coffee in the fridge or the freezer?
We’ve been storing them in the freezer but just heard from a friend that they use the fridge. Coffee needs to be perfect
As one who works with coffee, neither a chiller nor freezer is advised on. Keep them in a cool dry place, unless your coffee is already preportioned according to required use. The reason for this is because after it has been taken out from either the chiller of freezer, water vapor would start forming. And if you need to grind them further, then would grinder blades would rust due to the water.
At the same time, if coffee is not kept in an air-tight container, it easily absorbs the smell of strong smelling food…
Advised to buy portions of coffee in a reasonable amount, preferably a weeks supply before the next.
Making coffee the right way is another thing to think about.
Happy brewing.
